4 2025 | Clifton Heights-Clayton-Tamm Community Directory Welcome to the 4th Ward! Nestled on the western side of the city in the central corridor, the 4th Ward is a world-class place to live, work, and play. Whether you are looking for walkable neighborhoods, beautiful parks, award- winning restaurants and bars, good neighborhood schools, or simply a community-driven atmosphere, the 4th Ward has it. Plus, our accessibility to major highways make it easy to get wherever you want to go. The 4th Ward was created following redistricting in 2023 and is comprised of the official city neighborhoods of Cheltenham, Clayton-Tamm, Clifton Heights, Ellendale, Franz Park, and Hi-Pointe, parts of which combine to form the unofficial neighborhood affectionately known as “Dogtown.” Many are familiar with Dogtown as St. Louis’ historical Irish neighborhood and the site of a large parade and festival every year on St. Patrick’s Day. The residents, businesses, parks, schools, and community organizations make the 4 th Ward a great place to move to, raise a family, or simply to stop by on your way home from work for a burger and a beer.
