14 2024 | Holly Hills Directory New Park Gates The installation of new security gates in the park is one of the first major projects the Special Business District completed. The gates were among residents’ top priorities in the run up to the SBD vote. The gates at each of the six street entrances to the park are closed from 10 pm to 6 am each night to deter drag racing, vandalism, and any other criminal activity in the park. The roads are also closed the first week of the month starting on the first Monday, and as has been the case for several years, most of the roads are closed each Tuesday evening in the spring and summer for bike racing. This year the gates will be closed on Tuesday evenings from March 12 to August 27. It’s important to note that the park closes at 10 pm each night. The park itself is not closed the first week of the month nor on Tuesdays, just to vehicular traffic on the roads. Did you know?
