The areas of funding include security, park, and infrastructure improvements, among others. The district is bound by Chippewa Street to the north, Hampton Avenue to the east, Gravois Avenue to the south, and River Des Peres to the west. Property owners will be assessed 35 cents per $100 of assessed value, with a maximum of $250 per property. The district is expected to generate approximately $500,000 per year for neighborhood improvements. A seven-member board – five property owners and two property renters – will oversee the SBD with input from individuals and organizations within the neighborhood.
