It is imperative to the health of our people and our planet. University City was among the first cities in the country to recycle with its Tree Saver program. Because 70 percent of the trash we generate can be recycled, the City continues to encourage residents to recycle. University City uses “single stream” recycling, making recycling easier because sorting recyclables is not necessary. For details on what can be recycled, visit www.ucitymo.org/Recycling. RECYCLING PROGRAMS For more information call 314-505-8560 or visit http://www.ucitymo.org/Recycling. Recycling carts are available in three sizes for your convenience. If you do not have a cart, please call for one today. For citizens who dispose of their refuse in alleyways, there are recycling alley dumpsters for their use.
