Maplewood & Richmond Heights Community Directory | 2025 21 Trash, Recycling and Yard Pick-up Solid waste, recycling, and yard waste pickups are free to residents of single-family homes and multi-family buildings with a maximum of four dwelling units. The city’s current solid waste service provider is Republic Services, which provides trash, recycling, and yard waste pickups every Wednesday throughout Richmond Heights. Items must be in the tree lawn by 7 am and emptied cans must be removed by 8 pm that evening. Items may be placed in the tree lawn as early as 3 pm the day before. • Trash should be placed in the blue carts provided by Republic Services. • Recyclables should be placed in the dark green carts provided by the city. *Empty-Clean-Dry • Compostables/yard waste should be clearly marked and placed in reusable waste containers or in biodegradable paper bags. Plastic bags may not be used for yard waste. • Bulk pick-ups must be scheduled with Republic Services for Wednesday pickups. When a meeting falls on a holiday, it is generally held that Tuesday. The Council meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall, 1330 S. Big Bend Blvd. unless otherwise noted.
