MAY 2024 - The Soulard Renaissance - 11 Philip and his sisters were natives of Cincinnati, Ohio. It was there that they met Henry Ruckert, a Civil War veteran. This extended family moved to Saint Louis around 1875, when Philip and Henry launched their stone quarry business venture. By 1888, Philip F.
