The organization operates as a 501(c)3 public charity. In coordination with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office and other neighborhood NOMs, Shaw NOM volunteers are committed to reducing the ripple effect of crime and improving the quality of life in Shaw and surrounding neighborhoods. Structure The Shaw NOM is governed by a Board of Directors and relies on volunteers to implement programs and projects. Because crime affects everyone, there are no membership fees or financial requirements. The organization actively seeks collaboration with associations across St. Louis to assist in efforts to build a safe community.
