Lafayette Square Parlor Tour 2024
20 | Lafayette Square Parlor Tour | 2024 The homes on this block were built to look like early 20th century flats which were constructed in the area around 1900. This is one of the newer homes in Lafayette Square, having been built in 2020 on a rare vacant lot by D&R Builder Group. The current (and original) owners love their open floor plan, cozy fireplace, and 13 foot long kitchen island. Holiday decorations in this home are not to be missed! The owners have a collection of tomte elves which are small, bearded, elf-like creatures from Scandinavian folklore and are associated with the Christmas season and winter solstice. In addition, there’s a Department 56 Christmas village passed down two generations. It’s over 35 years old and the boxes have retained their Famous Barr price tags. The most expensive one was $44 in 1994. The owners were drawn to Lafayette Square in some respect due to Lafayette Park. In their words: Being able to grab a cup of coffee at Park Ave and walk the dogs through the neighborhood is the perfect way to start our morning or end our evening. We also love how much everyone cares about their neighbors, the community and St. Louis! 5 2339 Rutger Jen & Kevin Sherer WE DON’T REPLACE PIPES.
