SLAF Program Guide 2024

RECYCLING Bottle and Can Recycling The Saint Louis Art Fair is excited to partner once again with local Scout troops and Cub Scout packs in the Art Fair’s recycling program. You can learn more about the importance of recycling by visiting the Scouting America booth in the Creative Castle. Help us lower our carbon footprint by recycling your bottles and cans in the designated recycling bins located throughout the festival site. For over 114 years, Scouting units in the Pathfinder District have had a long-standing Scouting tradition (Pattonville, Ritenour, Maplewood- Richmond Heights, Clayton, Ladue and University City school districts and neighborhoods including Overland, Maryland Heights, Olivette, Maplewood, St. Ann, Bridgeton). Scouting positively affects every area of a young person’s life by offering fun and active experiences to build character and leadership skills. Through service projects and community involvement, Scouts have the opportunity to develop confidence, self- reliance, character, and values that they’ll carry with them for a lifetime. A special thank you to our 2024 Scouting partners from the Pathfinder District of the Greater St. Louis Area Council: INSTAGRAM Flag Retirement Scouting America is honored to collect American flags for a respectful Flag Retirement ceremony. Bring your worn or tattered flags to the Scouting America Recycling booth at the Saint Louis Art Fair, and we’ll ensure they receive a dignified retirement. Join us in this patriotic tradition and show your support for our nation’s symbol. You can find the Scouts the Creative Castle on Forsyth Blvd. near Central on Saturday and Sunday. 50
