30 MEET THE ARTISTIC TEAM Colin O’Brien (Producer) is in his tenth season with the Festival. Colin started as a House Management Intern in 2015, then served as House Manager from 2016 to 2018, and as Festival Manager in 2019. He was on the Festival’s full time staff as Associate Producer from 2019 to 2022, and in 2023 left the staff to focus on his production company, Blank Slate. He is on the board of Cinema St. Louis and is involved with dozens of other events and venues around the St. Louis area. He and his friend AJ have collaborated for eleven years running to throw a much-beloved annual Christmas party. @thecolinobrien Blank Slate (Production Company) is a live event production company specializing in concerts, theater, festivals, parades, conferences and more. It was founded in 2018 by long- time Shakespeare Festival team member Colin O’Brien. Blank Slate produces the Dogtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Taste of St. Louis, and main stage entertainment for O’Fallon’s July 4th Heritage and Freedom Festival. It provides production management services for the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, Cherokee Street Cinco De Mayo, Q in the Lou, and BBQ festivals in Kansas City, Dallas, and Denver. Blank Slate owns and operates the Dogtown Doggy Dash and the Moonlight Ramble, and helps with route management for the Greater St. Louis Marathon and several other races with Big River Race Management. Blank Slate has booked concerts with Styx, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, 38 Special, Bret Michaels, Chris Janson, Walker Hayes, Chris Lane, Mitchell Tenpenny, Big Freedia, Big Boi, Noname, Hannibal Burress, and more. It has stage managed concerts with the Chainsmokers, Joey Bada$$, Travis Tritt, Steve Aoki, Ludacris, and more. www. blankslate.live IG: BlankSlateLive Michele Friedman Siler (Costumer Shop Manager) returns to the Shakespeare Festival as Costume Shop Manager after also having designed Shakespeare In The Streets’ “Winds of Change” as well as Educational Tour shows Cymbeline , Macbeth , A Most Outrageous Fit of Madness and Found At Sea as well as the St. Louis Theatre Circle nominated I nto the Breeches! Recent St. Louis credits include Into the Woods , The Immigran t, Broadway Bound and Laughter on the 23rd Floor for New Jewish Theatre, The Rose Tattoo , The Glass Menagerie , A Streetcar Named Desire for TWStL, The Sound Inside, The Nerd for Moonstone Theatre, The Tempest , The Heir Apparent (St. Louis Theatre Circle Nominee), for St. Louis Shakespeare, Bitter Fruit , The Agitators and Infected , for Upstream Theatre and Blithe Spirit , Waiting for Godot for St. Louis Actors’ Studio. Michele was named “Best St. Louis Costume Designer” in the 2016 Post- Dispatch GO! List and recently named a 2022 “Unsung Hero” by the St. Louis Jewish Light. Britteny Henry* (Asst. Stage Manager) is back at the Festival and excited to spend the summer in Forest Park with the As You Like It company. This is her fourth season in the park with The Festival. Britteny is a stage manager, director, actor and creator. Most of her recent work has been as a stage manager or performer with educational tours and theatre for young audiences. In addition to The Festival, she has worked in this capacity with Metro Theatre Company, The Rep St. Louis, Delta Dental, and Reedy Press. Hi Mom.
