The " Thespian Society" (est. 1814) put on St. Louis's first organized theatricals in a converted blacksmith's shop at 3rd & Spruce. Many of their earliest productions were works of Shakespeare. Today it is the Festival's premiere donor circle, providing leadership support for our year-round activities.
