The
Native American
group was thriving,
and plans for both
Thanksgiving
and Christmas
celebrations were
underway. In
January, a Planned
Parenthood Clinic
opened, although
it appears to
have remained at
Kingdom House for
only a few years.
Not only were
Native Americans
participating in
club activities, at least one young woman began teaching Native American crafts
and dancing to other groups at Kingdom House. In spring, a training program
was initiated for Native Americans between the ages of 18-35 to help make better
